Glenn Hutchins

Business Development Manager

Meet Glenn, the youngest member of our business development team, who talks about team spirit, learning opportunities and his internal awards.

Background

Upon completion of my studies in 2016, I spent a short time as an internal sales representative before moving to Quelfire in 2017. I have been involved in many areas of the company throughout its growth, with experience in internal sales, purchasing, stock control, manufacturing, and despatch. This means I have good knowledge of our products as well as the operations of the company which is highly beneficial in my current role.

Role

My current role as Business Development Manager involves speaking to new customers and prospects, assessing their firestopping requirements, and providing them with the required support and solutions. This includes delivering training sessions on the products and installation methods, as well as demonstrating to our customers how they can access our excellent technical support and installation details from our huge scope of test evidence.

What he likes about working for Quelfire

Quelfire is a fantastic environment for personal and professional growth. During my time here I have successfully completed numerous qualifications which have been a great benefit in my development, including recently achieving my IFE Level 2 Certificate in Passive Fire Protection. The enthusiasm throughout the whole team at Quelfire is evident with all team members passionate about life safety and providing the best service possible to our customers. This, along with the commitment to ongoing testing and development of solutions based on feedback from customers, makes it a pleasure to work at Quelfire.

What he enjoys doing when not working

I enjoy spending time outdoors in the beautiful English countryside, whatever the season, whether walking, fishing or a day out with family relaxing with good food and a few cold beverages. I enjoy practical work and often spend weekends helping friends and family on construction projects or working in the garden, especially when the day ends with an opportunity to develop my skills as a kebab connoisseur.
