Update – 5th January 2021
Similarly to lockdown 2.0 in November 2020, Quelfire’s operation remains largely unaffected by lockdown 3.0 imposed on 4th January 2021, and as a manufacturer of firestopping products supplying the construction industry, intends to remain fully operational.
The way we can be contacted about technical, sales and customer service enquires, and the level of service you can expect also remains the same, we are available via the usual communication channels, whether our staff members are working from home or from our covid-secure office.
We are still asking you to be mindful of our reliance on our network of third-party couriers for delivering goods, and in order to avoid disappointment, we recommend that you allow extra time for deliveries as the delivery network is already under pressure and this is likely to increase during this time due to them accommodating additional online ordering deliveries.
We thank you for your continued support and understanding and trust you and your families stay safe and well.
Update – 2nd November 2020
As a Manufacturer of Passive Fire Protection Products supplying the Construction industry Quelfire intends to remain fully operational during COVID-19 Lockdown 2.0.
Whilst those who can effectively work from home will do so, we continue to operate within a COVID-secure workplace and you can expect the same service and supply, as you would normally expect provided no circumstances arise outside of our control.
As you know, we rely on our network of third party couriers for delivering goods, so in order to avoid disappointment, we recommend that you allow extra time for deliveries as the delivery network is already under pressure and this is likely to increase during this time due to them accommodating additional online ordering deliveries.
We thank you for your continued support and understanding and trust you and your families stay safe and well.
Update – 17th June 2020
The Quelfire Team remains at your service as normal. Our customer service and sales teams can be reached by emailing sales@quelfire.co.uk, while our technical support team can be emailed at technical@quelfire.co.uk. You can also give us a call with any of your queries you may have on 0161 928 7308, and we will put you through to the relevant department or person. Our standard products are available for next day delivery, as usual.
CPD Training: Our presenters are now fully prepared and equipped to deliver our popular Passive Fire Protection CPD virtually via Zoom or MS Teams. Organisations that have a scheduled face to face CPD for the next 2-3 months will be offered the option to switch to virtual CPD training or reschedule the event to a later date when it will be considered safe to hold it in person. Please also bear in mind that even furloughed staff, who are not allowed to work, are permitted to do training.
Site visits: To be able to help you quickly and efficiently with any of your questions or challenges you encounter on-site, we are still encouraging you to send drawings or photos/videos taken of the applications/installations in question to us wherever possible. Only if this isn’t possible and if a site visit is absolutely essential, can we arrange one of our fire containment specialists to visit you on-site, subject to individual risk assessment and adhering to the required safety measures put in place.

17th March 2020
We are closely monitoring and taking advice regarding the COVID-19 outbreak from authorities and relevant organisations on board, as well as doing everything in our power to contribute to improving the situation. We have put the necessary precautionary measures in place, such as introducing more rigorous sanitisation procedures and allowing our non-operational staff to work from home.
Whilst the wellbeing of our people, customers and business partners remains our priority, we are committed to keeping our operation as smooth as possible with minimal disruption; to keep supplying our customers with the products they need and the high standard support they are used to.
Production, stock and deliveries. As normally, we hold large stocks of all our standard products, they are available for next day delivery and will be for the foreseeable future. Our core products are manufactured in the UK with no substantial reliance on imported raw materials. We are also working closely together with our freight partners to ensure uninterrupted supply. We keep monitoring the situation and will notify our customers of any changes.
Meetings and training sessions. With the health and well-being of our staff at the forefront of all we do, we are suspending all face-to-face meetings and training sessions until further notice. We are embracing technology such as videoconferencing and our team remains available through these channels. We are cancelling all training sessions scheduled for the next few weeks, they will be rearranged to a later date for when the situation is better understood and resolved. In the meantime, we highly recommend taking advantage of the online version of our CPD presentation, which is a 45-minute video, covering the same topics as the face to face CPD training.
Technical support. We remain at your service to continue providing you with our unparalleled technical support. We are here to help you with any questions you may have regarding the design or installation of firestopping systems through a number of channels, including email (technical@quelfire.co.uk), through our website via LiveChat or contact forms, and on the phone (0161 928 7308). We are suspending any site visits until further notice and will ask you to send drawings or photos/videos taken of the applications/installations in question to us by email wherever possible.
We will be issuing updates on our website and our LinkedIn channel whenever necessary.
As usual, we keep our spirits high, we make the best of the situation and remain positive.
