In construction, we are seeing more emphasis on the energy efficiency of buildings; we’re seeing more insulation requirements for pipes, particularly copper pipes with thicker insulation to prevent heat loss. Therefore, we have done some recent testing with up to 75 mm thick phenolic insulation using the QuelStop Firestopping System and the QuelCoil Intuwrap around the phenolic insulation (continuous sustained).
