The main aim of our product installation training is to make sure the installer understands the process of installing a firestopping product, what it looks like correctly installed, and why it needs to be installed as per the manufacturer’s guidance.

Whilst the whole session is educational, the first section specifically focusses on what passive fire protection is and why products are required before moving onto a step-by-step guide to installation.

Who is the training for?

Our firestopping toolbox talks and product installation training sessions are ideal for anyone involved in the specification, installation, or inspection of firestopping products.

This includes site managers, project managers, firestoppers, general contractors, dryliners, M&E contractors, and anyone responsible for ensuring passive fire protection is installed correctly and compliantly.

Whether you're new to firestopping or need a refresher, the training is designed to suit all levels of experience and can be tailored to your specific project or team needs.

What will be covered?

The training focuses on helping installers understand how to correctly install firestopping products and why following manufacturer guidance is essential.

The session starts with an overview of passive fire protection, including what it is, why it matters, and how intumescent materials work. We’ll then walk through the installation process step by step, highlighting key considerations, common issues to avoid, and the importance of using project-specific details.

The session also includes real-world examples, an interactive quiz to test knowledge, and time for Q&A at the end.
