We Understand Your Challenges
Concrete frame contractors play a critical role in getting projects out of the ground quickly and safely. But with increasing regulation, multiple trades working side by side, and tight programmes, managing penetrations and firestopping requirements adds another layer of complexity.
-
Managing Coordination On Site
Concrete frames are at the centre of the build. With so many trades relying on your work, clashes over service penetrations and positioning are common. Poor coordination can slow progress and lead to disputes.
-
Working Under Time Pressure
Deadlines are always tight. Any mistakes or late design changes can mean costly rework, wasted materials, or delays that ripple through the whole programme.
-
Navigating Compliance And Responsibility
It isn’t always clear who is responsible for sealing penetrations, or how requirements should be met in practice. This uncertainty leaves contractors exposed to compliance risks and failed inspections.

Building Confidence Through Early Engagement
At Quelfire, we work with concrete frame contractors to bring clarity to firestopping. By engaging early, we help you plan penetrations, position devices accurately, and understand exactly what is needed for compliance.
Our specialists provide straightforward guidance from design through to installation, so that firestopping doesn’t become an afterthought. Instead of being left with problems to fix later, you can move forward with confidence, knowing that risks are reduced and the build can stay on track.

Tailored Products
The QuelCast Cast-In Fire Collar can be supplied to match your slab depth, either pre-cut or with extension tubes attached.

The QuelCast Cast-In Fire Collar
The QuelCast Cast-In Fire Collar offers a modern alternative to creating openings for services using traditional methods. Instead of cutting large service apertures after the slab has been poured, QuelCast devices are positioned during the concrete pour itself, providing a ready-made firestopping solution once services are installed.
This approach reduces the need for shuttering or formwork around openings when using typical fire collars, saves time at installation stage, and minimises the amount of remedial work required later. For contractors, this means less disruption, fewer follow-up trades, and lower overall costs for the project.
QuelCast units are designed at 250mm high to suit the most common applications. For slabs between 150–250mm, we offer a pre-cut service; for depths greater than 250mm, we provide extension tubes, which can also be supplied pre-attached for convenience. Whatever the slab thickness, devices arrive on site ready to use, helping you keep to programme.
