How can you rely on the Quelfire Technical Team?

And when should you seek further advice?

In an industry where no two days are the same, it can be daunting when faced with vast amounts of information, new tested details, and best practices.

Our mission is, and has always been, to support you.

We support all stakeholders, from main contractors to firestopping contractors, with extensive technical support and educational resources from design to installation.

And encourage early collaboration during design to choose the correct tested firestopping solution for your application.

What truly sets us apart is our expert technical guidance. We understand the importance of your queries and aim to respond within one working day – though this depends on the difficulty of the enquiry!Wilson, from the Warehouse team, manufacturing the QuelCast Cast in Fire Collar.

Staying within our competence

Competency is crucial in today’s industry. It means having the correct skills, knowledge, experience, and behaviours to carry out your work.

Under the Building Safety Act, demonstrating and ensuring competence is now a legal requirement.

Regarding firestopping, competency is also about understanding the requirements of building regulations and test standards.

The risk of fire is very real; understanding these requirements ensures compliance and the protection of people and property.

While we are experts in Quelfire products and systems and have knowledge surrounding these areas, we are not fire consultants or principal designers. These professionals have the correct expertise and qualifications to make decisions on complex matters.

Though we will always try to support you competently where possible, we may not have all the answers for areas outside of service penetrations. In these instances, we will direct you to the appropriate source where necessary.

You are responsible for taking the information we provide and doing your due diligence.

As manufacturers, we connect the design to the firestopping, but we’re not the final step

That’s why communicating with all parties and reaching out to those with the relevant expertise is crucial for the progression of the project.
