Introducing Xenia! Having recently completed her A-levels, Xenia joins us as Executive Assistant, providing valuable support across finance and administrative tasks.
I recently completed my A-levels in maths, accounts, and history, which gave me a strong foundation in both analytical and organisational skills.
In addition, I have gained valuable work experience through roles where my main tasks have been producing quotes and working with CRM systems. This experience allowed me to develop a practical understanding of business operations.
Whilst I am new to the professional world, at Quelfire, I have been able to apply my academic knowledge to support with various tasks in finance and administration.
In my current role, I assist with executive-level administration and accounting functions.
My responsibilities include managing financial records, processing transactions, helping with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring the smooth flow of day-to-day operations within the accounts department.
A significant challenge I face is adapting to new systems and processes, particularly as technology and software constantly evolve in the business world; for example, learning new CRM tools or accounting software fries my brain somewhat!
To overcome this, I take a proactive approach by dedicating time to familiarising myself and getting hands-on with the tools. And if necessary, I reach out to colleagues, ensuring I fully understand how to use the systems efficiently.
I enjoy the variety of tasks Iām involved in and the opportunity to learn constantly. Every day presents a new challenge, and I like being able to apply my academic background to real-world scenarios. Whether analysing financial data or assisting with company strategy, the work is stimulating and rewarding.
Working for Quelfire has been an incredibly positive experience. The company culture is supportive and I have opportunities to develop professionally.
The collaborative team encourages growth, which motivates me to take on new responsibilities.
In my free time, I love playing and listening to music, which allows me to relax and enjoy a creative outlet. I also thoroughly enjoy a good day out with the family: the Lake District is one of the best destinations!
