QuelStop HPE Sealant | QHPE

Description

QuelStop HPE Intumescent Graphite Sealant is a high-expansion, intumescent, acrylic-based sealant containing graphite, designed to reinstate and maintain the fire rating of walls and floors where service penetrations occur.

On exposure to heat, it expands significantly to seal gaps and prevent the spread of fire. It can be used as part of the QuelStop Fire Batt System or applied directly to the substrate for effective firestopping, depending on the tested application*.

Each box contains 25 tubes, so we recommend ordering in multiples of 25 for convenience. However, individual tubes can also be supplied if required.

*This is general guidance only. Always check the tested details to ensure you are installing a compliant solution.

How to Install HPE Sealant Around Cables Through the QuelStop Fire Batt System

HPE (high pressure exerting) sealant is an acrylic-based, intumescent sealant that contains high-expansion graphite. It works to maintain the fire rating of walls and floors where services have passed through them and provides a fire-rated linear joint or gap seal.

Firestopping Tested Detail: QuelStop HPE Graphite Sealant for Plastic Pipes

In this short video, Craig Wells (Sales Director) talks about the extended scope of application for the Intumescent Graphite HPE Sealant. We have added further scope for ‪Uponor UK‬ multi-layer composite plastic pipes, ABS plastic pipes, and electrical conduits up to 50mm diameter with electric cables.
